Love
Matt. 22:37-40
Since Christ commands us to love it must be something we are able to choose to do. It is not a feeling we have little or no control over.
The Love Chapter, I Corinthians 13
First what love is not.
- Verse 1: A silver tongue. Can't talk your way in.
- Verse 2: IntelligenceCan't think your way in.
- Verse 3: Philanthropy and MartyrdomCan't buy your way in.
What love is: You decide. Verses 13:4-7

- Kind:
- Not jealous:
- Not boastful:
- Not Arrogant:
- Not self-seeking:
- Doesn't get provoked: easily is not in the Greek text, sorry.
- Love doesn't keep track of wrongs suffered:
- Doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness:
- Rejoices in truth:Bears all things:
- Believes all things: This doesn't mean love is gullible; instead it means it is not suspicious.
- Hopes:
- Endures:
- Verses 8-10 All else shall pass away.
- Verses 11-12 Maturity
Now these three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. I Corinthians 13:13
